Who wants to spend evenings and weekends at home alone? Unfortunately, this is something which happens far too often to those of us who find ourselves on our own and whose friends are mostly couples.

Clevedon Link is a social club formed over 25 years ago in order to help people in just this position. With a membership of over 70, aged from 30 upwards, we publish a programme of activities every month and invite people from all over the area to join us.

It doesn’t matter what your hobbies are, there is sure to be something at Clevedon Link to interest you. Just take a look at the current programme and you will see what we mean.

Our aim is to bring like-minded people together in an easy and relaxed atmosphere. We want you to make lots of friends of both sexes and have some fun. As with most things in life, you only get out of it, what you are prepared to put into it.

We have something going on every Saturday such as
* Discos
* Skittles
* Quizzes
* Parties
* BBQs (when it's warm enough),
* Barn dances
* Meals out
On many Sundays, we go
* rambling - for walkers used to 6-8 mile walks (usually followed by tea at a member's house.)
* Ambling, for the less energetic, often followed by a cream tea
* Bike rides, 25-30 miles
* National Trust visits
* Coach trips

As we are a non-profit making organisation, we try to keep costs to a minimum and usually give plenty of notice of forthcoming events so you can plan your life You'll probably find yourself going to lots of events that you haven't been to for a long time and doing some things that you have never done before.

In order to get to know people and collect programmes, we suggest you join us every Tuesday at the Walton Park Hotel, in Clevedon, North Somerset,between 9.00 and 11.00 p.m.
